The night before we launched our Kickstarter, we filmed a QVC style telethon that we thought would be a fun way to pull people in. It took a long time to edit because we were so busy trying to develop more stretch goals, answer tons of questions, and reply to messages and comments. If you've seen our playthrough video, it's that... but with a QVC telethon twist! We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it. :)

These recipes are said to be so delicious that they allow you to take the magic of Barcadia anywhere, provided you collect the right ingredients. Find the Liquornomicon...if you dare!

If you have an amazing original drink recipe that you’d like to see included in the Liquornomicon, post it in the comments section and we’ll give it a try. If it has the taste of adventure and doesn't kill us, it may get included in the Liquornomicon. If selected, it would be added, along with your name, so all Barcadians will know of your glorious Necromixing accomplishments!  

A bamboozling Barcadian update

We've surpassed not one, but FOUR Stretch Goals in just a few days. That means it's time to take a look at what goodies you'll be seeing in your Base Game (or higher) pledge. 

Here's a hint: three of them are useful in the game. The other? A way to add a Barcadian twist to almost any flat surface.  

Sorry, not sorry. Battle faces are high art — you can't just laugh at them. The Battle Face Loot Card forces every player to make their most intense battle face, and the first person to break a smile or laugh loses 10 HP. If no one laughs, you'll just have to make it more intense (or hilarious). 

Our next update is for those of you who love to decorate your things (and sure was a crowd favorite!). We've taken some of our favorite tiles and characters and transfigured them into stickers so you can take the land of Barcadia anywhere. Try sticking them to all the things — devices, backpacks, faces — especially the faces of your enemies. Actually, no. Don't waste these precious stickers on your enemies. 

We found this runestone deep inside the dungeon and wanted to share it with all of our friends. And by "share it with all of our friends," we mean use the Runestone of Bamboozling against them, so we can claim the Drink Horde before anyone else. Thankfully this card provides us with a temporary reprieve against any annoying Power-Ups your fellow players may have — provided you manage to roll an even number. 

Some people will tell you sharing is caring, and nothing shows that better than this Party Pack Exclusive Loot Card: Cheers!. In true Heroes of Barcadia fashion, by giving a little healing, you get a lot more! 

What's Next? 

Hey, did you drop this coin? It seems to have a slightly risky magical aura… maybe you should try using it the next time you go through a Magic Pourtal? Who knows what may happen… 
We know what’ll happen — when a player uses a pourtal, they’ll have the option to flip this waxed coin for either a reward… or a punishment. Get either +1 Loot Card or -5 HP. Is it worth the risk?

Our cup runneth over with news, and now it's time to spill it. We've got a lot of exciting announcements for you today, starting with our latest Stretch Goal unlock: the Upgraded Box. 

While we were making enhancements to the game itself, something occurred to us; the box should look as amazing on the shelf as the pieces do, right? That's why we've enhanced the box with a glossy finish and a fancy-looking rope. Now the box is easier to transport and easier to clean in case accidents happen. Just don't throw it in a river or anything, and you should be fine. 

GLASSES ARE HAPPENING

Introducing our Heroes of Barcadia Pint Glasses (they're like miniatures that you can drink from). These glasses are made of... well, glass, and available as an add-on at any tier level. These beautiful 16oz Pint Glasses are hand painted by a machine to ensure accuracy and consistency. They are ready to go and replace their plastic counterparts in your next Heroes of Barcadia adventure!

We're separating the pint glasses into two sets, so if you only have the base game, you don't have to pay extra for characters that you don't have. 

What's Next?

Our next Stretch Goal is a special Loot Card that adds more friendly competitive interaction in your game. So start practicing your scariest, silliest, most ridiculous Battle Face, cause there's 10HP on the line. The Battle Face is coming to the Base Game at $600,000! 

A massive enhancement for a massive stretch goal

$550,000?! We can't thank you enough, Barcadian adventurers! 

We promised more improvements to the Heroes of Barcadia base game, and we delivered with a massive dice enhancement. Take a look!

Our previous dice enhancements weren’t enhanced enough! Now we’re using a custom mold and artwork PLUS glitter. That’s right. Just when you thought the other dice were prettier, we’re doubling down to make them even better.

These dice will come automatically upgraded in your base game pledge. If you ordered the Party Pack, you'll see that these dice enhancements apply for Matilda and Tipple as well. Enjoy your custom molded D20s!

What's Next? 

We're getting closer to our next Stretch Goal: the Upgraded Box (with glossy finish and a fancy carrying rope handle). We're coming up with even more ideas to improve the game, so let us know what you'd like to see in the comments!

More signature moves and a flashy Drink Hoard!

Are you ready for some EXTRA exciting news (besides the fact that we just hit $500,000)!? We've got lots of updates for you thanks to a huge boost in backers. Let's see what's unlocked and what's coming soon... 

We've unlocked two new Stretch Goals including the Party Pack Signature Move Cards and the Enhanced Drink Hoard! We've also unlocked TWO new translated rule books: Spanish and Dutch. These versions of the rule book will both be available on our website after we've finished the production of Heroes of Barcadia.

Party Pack Punch-Up! More signature moves are here! Don’t think we've forgotten about the Party Pack… it's Matilda's and Tipple's turn to get the special treatment with unique Signature Move Cards of their own. These are optional rules that you can use at certain key moments in the game. They’ll be automatically added to the Part Pack tiers.

We wanted to make the Grand Drink Guardian a little more... grand, so we gave this card a flashy upgrade! Now it'll be extra shiny thanks to a golden metallic effect. Special effects make for an even more epic reveal when you discover the Drink Hoard!

We just hit the goal for TWO rule book translations: Spanish and Dutch. Now we're just a few backers away from giving you a Rule Book PDF translated into you're own language! Here are the next countries getting closer to unlocking a translated rule book:
