It’s been a minute but, just like Punxsutawney Phil, we saw our shadows yesterday and we are trying to figure out what that means for us.
Shipping
North America: We have been told that all of Wave 1 orders have shipped. However, we have also recently discovered a back end issue involving BackerKit that may have held up some Wave 1 orders. If you are in Wave 1 and have yet to receive your tracking information, please reach out to us directly at [email protected].
Now that we have confirmation from Bridge that Wave 1 is completed, Wave 2 is officially ready to begin. It was our initial understanding that Wave 2 shipping had already started, but we’ve received an update from Bridge informing us that wasn’t the case. All of Wave 2 is expected to be completed by the end of next week, with people getting shipping information as early as Monday.

We have seen some recurring themes in your questions and comments, so here are those answers all in one place (SPOILER ALERT: The answers also have a recurring theme):
Q: What’s the process for getting order updates if I haven’t heard anything? Why am I emailing a distributor and not Rollacrit?
A: We initially provided the contact information for our distributors because they were contracted for fulfillment and customer service regarding fulfillment, including missing shipments and replacement items. We realize that by not explaining that up front, it looked like we were passing on our responsibility in the process. That is not the case, and we apologize for that confusion. If you have concerns or issues, please email us at [email protected] and we will work with you to address them.

Q: I emailed my local distributor and haven't heard anything. Did they forget about me?
A: It is easy for us to forget that we are not the only shipping project our fulfillment partners are working on at any given time. If you have sent an email and have not received a reply within three business days, please reach out to [email protected] so we can help you get a resolution.
Q: I'm in Canada, and my tracking information is shipping to the wrong province. What's going on?
A: If something like this has happened to you and you haven't received your order yet, please reach out to [email protected] so we can help remedy this situation.

Greetings, Heroes! We hope you had a festive holiday season.
Shipping
North America: Bridge has about 200 Wave 1 orders (orders paid before October 6, 2022) left to ship in the United States due to a box of Magic Pourtal Coins that took the wrong Pourtal. We are doing two things to resolve this:
Our coin partner, Shire Post Mint, has already started a new batch of coins to ship to Bridge. Shire Post Mint is based in the U.S., so they will not be impacted by Chinese New Year.
We’re recalling excess Magic Pourtal Coins from our international fulfillment partners to ship to Bridge.
We don’t have a firm timeline to share with you, but we’re expecting it to be early next week. Really it will all come down to which of those two options gets their coins to Bridge first. We apologize for this situation, but please know we are doing everything we can to resolve it quickly.
Additionally, there are about 500 orders in Wave 2 (orders paid after October 6, 2022) that have not started fulfillment. Wave 2 shipping will begin once Wave 1 is complete, and will also include our Retail backers. Given that Wave 2 orders also include some Magic Pourtal Coins, this impacts their start date but, hopefully, not by much.
In Canada, fulfillment has been rolling along, eh. If you have experienced an issue with your delivery, please contact [email protected].
Who do I contact about a missing/broken item from my order?
If you have received your order but need to get a replacement piece, please contact the distribution center that shipped your order; they have the replacement inventory. Include your order number, which you can find on your shipping invoice, and a photo of the damaged item, if applicable.
Direct to consumer sales of Heroes of Barcadia and HoB add-ons will begin once we complete Kickstarter fulfillment. We will provide an update here and on our social channels.

Now that many of you have had time to play Heroes of Barcadia, you are coming up with some pretty creative ideas for game storage and display, and we love to see it!

Hello again, adventurers.
Here we are with another update but with an assist from our fulfillment partner. We know that many of you are still anxiously and frustratingly waiting on your tracking information and/or your game and add ons. We also know that we told you last week that you should have that information by roughly this time. We have heard you in the comments that we keep moving the goal posts and as you’re reading this right now you’re already assuming that’s what we’re here to do again.
And for that, we apologize; this was never the fulfillment process we intended to have. We have been as transparent as we could be, based on the information provided to us from our fulfillment partner. As we move closer to the end of the year and this shipping process, we wanted to let you know how sorry we are for the twists and turns this journey has taken us all on. We also want to let our partners at Bridge speak with you for a moment about where they are with your North American orders*:
"Hail Barcadians!!
A message from the couriers guild, also known as Bridge Fulfillment and Distribution. We here at the guild wanted to share some news and a bit of information with you. Back in early October, the great and wondrous court at Rollacrit contacted us and asked us to undertake a monumental quest…immediate receipt and turn around fulfillment of a massive Kickstarter campaign in a very short amount of time. While we are a new guild in the land, Bridge Media has been fulfilling Kickstarters for close to 5 years now, our team discussed the request, built a plan and accepted the Barcadia Quest presented to us.
With the plan in motion, and the timeline extremely tight, our guild set out to conquer and overcome the task set before us. It began with a daring raid on the King’s wagon train (we had to reroute a container from China), and continued with numerous raids on a mighty dragons lair (we had to coordinate and schedule 6 truck loads of product from another holding facility), and finally we had to secure a new larger guild hall to make room for the spoils (we secured a new larger warehouse for operations).
As with all quests undertaken during the great season of the Yuletide, none of them go completely to plan, as they are fraught with perils and unforeseen dangers (shipping delays, overlapping unscheduled container deliveries, illness, staffing changes and of course holiday celebrations). As such, we have failed in some of our commitments to the court of Rollacrit. But rest assured dear Barcadians, we will prevail!!!
In a more serious light, we here at Bridge could make excuses and point fingers, but that’s not how we do business. We undertook a huge challenge of a project on top of all of our other projects for the fine team at Rollacrit, with an expectation that we could meet the difficult timeline they were asking us to. We have fallen short, and for that, I can only express my deepest apologies. Coordinating over 200 pallets of product in 7 shipments during the holiday shipping season proved to be a hefty undertaking. Our warehouse was hit with Covid in November, and the flu last week. We’ve lost a few employees who went on to other positions with other companies, however our team has maintained a consistent and constant level of fulfillment for this project that I can say I am proud of given all the circumstances.
The leadership team at Rollacrit has done their absolute best to be communicative with you, their backers, as well as maintain and manage a really tough situation, by making the last minute decision to change fulfillment houses to get you your rewards before the holiday instead of a mid-February start. They have also been the absolute best partners in this process, showing a level of respect and professionalism beyond what we could ask for during the season of joy and wonder, and for that we applaud and thank them.
For those backers who have yet to receive your rewards, know that we are working extra shifts and we hired additional season help last month to help complete this most challenging quest for Barcadia. We do thank you all for your patience and understanding. One final note on tracking, especially this time of year, as the systems are taxed and overwhelmed, you may get a tracking number and it may not update immediately, this is due to pick up times and scans into the local DC’s as they begin their journey. It may happen that you get your package before your tracking number updates.

Greetings Heroes!
Our last update included some wording that was a little confusing and we apologize for that. So, let’s clear that up:
North America: If you completed your survey and paid your shipping charges prior to October 6, your order is slated to ship early next week, if it hasn’t already. If you completed your survey, paid your shipping charges, or pre-ordered the game after the October 6 wave one shipping cutoff, your games will be shipping once this wave has completed. This impacts ~450 people.
Additionally, there are about 250 North American backers that have not completed their survey or paid their shipping charges. These orders will not be ready to ship until your surveys are completed and you've paid your shipping charges.
UK/EU/Asia/Australia: The majority of games have been shipped from all of our warehouses.
If you still have not received your tracking information, double check your account at https://heroesofbarcadia.backerkit.com/backer/review to make sure there are no pending shipping charges or any other issues. If everything looks accurate and there are no pending charges, please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.
Additionally, there are about 220 backers outside of North America that have not completed their survey or paid their shipping charges. These orders will not be ready to ship until your surveys are completed and you've paid your shipping charges.

Shipping Update
NA: Our fulfillment continues to move along with around 400 orders a day going out the door! While we understand the frustration around seeing some people getting their orders ahead of your own, we've been working diligently with our partners at Bridge to make sure that everything is flowing as smoothly as it can. Our recent update from Bridge has all packages being shipped by the beginning of next week. Once they are out the door, Rollacrit and Bridge have no control over how long it takes to get to you. As a reminder, with the already heightened shipping season of the holidays upon us, it may take a bit longer for the tracking information to update.
Please note, this timeline is only for those people who completed all the necessary steps (like filling out their survey and paying for shipping charges on time, etc), which is around 93% of our customers. If you had an issue with payment, delivery, or plum forgot to fill out your survey, don't fret. We're still working on getting those orders processed and will continue to do so until all pending orders are no more! Our Merchants of Barcadia can expect a follow up communication shortly after the holiday season to finalize delivery, as well.
Westill have backers who have not completed their survey. If you have not received your shipping information, you may not have finished the process.
