When we launched Heroes of Barcadia, we were seriously wondering if we'd even hit our funding goal. So you can guess how we felt when we surpassed $1 million. And with that huge milestone, we've unlocked a few more Stretch Goals including downloadable STL files so those of you who want to make your own miniatures!  Take a look below! 

Before we get into that, though, we also unlocked the Demobouncer! We hope you brought your ID, because there’s no fooling this Prince of Demons. We wouldn’t recommend using a fake one either, because those sunglasses mean eight eyes are looking at every detail of your card.

These STL files will let you print 3D printable minifigs of all playable characters in the game, and yes that means Tipple and Maltilda too! Use them as game markers or embiggen them to serve as desktop guardians. Just like building the dungeon in Heroes or Barcadia, how you bring these to life is up to you!

Don’t have a magic cauldron of PLA or photosensitive resin? Not to worry, the model files will be in standard STL format, which means they can be shipped off to any blacksmith in the realm (i.e. printing service or friend).

Since so many of you had punny ideas for Loot Cards, we decided to let you celebrate your own creativity with DIY Loot Cards. Come up with your own effects and feel the sweet, sweet freedom of total loot control.

Then we set up this bombastic Bottle Cap Trap goal — and you breezed right through that in a day! And yes, they're still water-proof. ;)

 What's Next? 

Just when you thought we didn't have any more enhancements left — we found out that there's actually TWO Drink Hoards! And this one's just sitting right here, SOOOOO much easier to get to than that other one being guarded by that big meanie the Grand Drink Guardian. We should probably just take this one back, don't ask any questions, and ignore those sharp teeth. Waaaaaait a second, Drink Hoards don't have teeth, do they?

It's been a wild adventure. It seems like only yesterday that we launched this campaign, and now we're in our final hours. The biggest race now is whether or not we'll be able to unlock our last two Stretch Goals before the campaign ends.

First Up: 

If you'd like to see this completely legitimate Drink Hoard that's definitely not mimicking anything in your game, tell your friends! Then you can send them in first to check it out, juuuuust to make sure.

Wait a second... isn't there supposed to be a huge guardian protecting the Drink Hoard? Maybe he's taking a quick nap. Let's just grab the hoard and be on our way. Just don't let those teeth get you.

The Last Stretch Goal:

It's a Mimic invasion! First it was the Drink Hoard, that was clearly NOT the Drink Hoard! And now they've learned how to disguise themselves as Loot Cards! What have we done?!?! What have we done...Besides take our opponents sweet Loot Card affect and make it our own, that is! 

What's Next?

Once the campaign ends, Kickstarter will collect your pledge amount and we'll get to work making this puntastic dungeon exploration game come to life, with all the new and amazing Stretch Goals that have been unlocked along the way!

Something exciting has been in the works for a while now — a Stretch Goal so deliciously wonderful that we've only been working on it in the dead of night in order to keep it a secret. Something so amazing that we waited until almost the end of our Kickstarter to officially unveil it. We've even had to take a blood oath not to tell anyone. But, the suspense was killing us, so we decided that it's time to finally share our news. Are you intrigued? 

We've been working on a... OH LOOK! We hit another stretch goal. 

Let's create even more dramatic tension for our big reveal by first taking a look at what we just unlocked! 

How dare other players attempt to make eye contact with you. You’re the BEST Hero of Barcadia after all. Punish them with the Mead-dusa’s Gaze Loot Card. After you play it, the first person to make eye contact with you takes 10 HP damage. (Serves them right.) You'll find this Loot Card in the Heroes of Barcadia Base Game.

We have something new coming up next! For the first time in our Barcadian Kickstarter adventure, we're adding a brand new Boss Room. Be warned! The Demobouncer is coming to Barcadia as a brand new Boss Room ready to intimidate and adjudicate. So be prepared to roll for your right to PARRRTAAAY! 

Even though this is an exciting Stretch Goal (because it's our first new Boss SG), surprisingly, it's not the big news we alluded to at the beginning of this update.

We are constantly blown away with the extremely vocal response this campaign has been getting, and even though we keep saying it, THANK YOU from all of us at Rollacrit! 

This is the first Kickstarter we’ve ever run, and as a new company, we’re trying our hardest to keep up with the passion and enthusiasm you’ve shown for our game, Stretch Goals and Add-ons. When deciding on Stretch Goals and Add-Ons, we first and foremost have to stay true to the game we’ve been playtesting for years and keep it evenly weighted. After all, there is a very fun, mechanically driven game behind the drinking aspect. Second, we want to make sure we can actually deliver on these goals, because you deserve them at a high quality and on time! 

One suggestion we’ve gotten from some members of the community is to make minifigs, which we love! But another thing you’ll come to find out about us is that we love to give people options. So, we conjured up something that we are incredibly excited to share our: 3D (STL) files for EVERY backer once we hit $1M! 

That way, people who want minifigs can make them, or get them printed, and those who don’t can continue to use their cups! Also, people who want statues on their desk can make those, or even make a life size version for your living room! (Though if you do make a life-size version, please let us know — we’d love to see it.) The point is, you can do so much with these files and YOU get to choose what’s the best fit for you!

We know that you will have a lot of questions like “Where can I get these printed?” or “What even is an STL File?” We will be posting updates along the way with helpful info and resources so you can take advantage of this wild Stretch Goal!

Triple eights means good things are coming your way

We hit $800,000 in pledges, 8,900+ backers, and have 8 more days to go in our Heroes of Barcadia Kickstarter. That's a lot of eights! 

Here's a bit of card-related trivia — encountering a triple eight means you should be prepared for an overwhelming amount of goodness coming your way. And what a coincidence... we have some exciting updates for you today.  :)

You know what doesn't feel good? Having your Power-Up card stolen. You know what does feel good?Inflincting damage on your enemies who take without asking! This Stretch Goal Power-Up card will give you that moment of retribution. If someone steals a Loot Card or Power-Up from you, you can give them the card equivalent of a face slap — they'll take 5HP of damage. 

What's Next? 

AVERT THINE EYES! 

The next unlockable Stretch Goal Loot Card punishes players who make eye contact with you. Because how dare they deign to look upon your magnificence. Plebians — all of them.

The night before we launched our Kickstarter, we filmed a QVC style telethon that we thought would be a fun way to pull people in. It took a long time to edit because we were so busy trying to develop more stretch goals, answer tons of questions, and reply to messages and comments. If you've seen our playthrough video, it's that... but with a QVC telethon twist! We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it. :)

Because you're all awesome, Shire Post Mint will be engraving a new coin for the game! It's 100% optional and 100% awesome!
